Megatronic

Megatronic

UK-born and Lisbon/Dubai -based, Megatronic is a powerhouse of talent, energy, and vision. With a career spanning over two decades, she has carved out her place as a DJ, producer, songwriter, and activist, blending a unique sonic palette with a deep commitment to community and inclusivity. As a DJ Mag “Best Emerging Artist”, Megatronic has transcended borders, establishing herself as a maverick force on the global music scene. Her infectious energy and distinct voice have found their way onto house labels like Razor-N-Tape, Freerange, Feedasoul, and The Remedy Project, with her songwriting and vocals elevating dance floors worldwide. From BBC Radio 1Xtra to the Keinemusik radio show, her sound resonates across airwaves, and with collaborations with Natasha Diggs, Jkriv and Jimpster and a debut appearance at DC10’s CircoLoco set for 2025, the journey only accelerates from here. A Sound Without Borders The name Megatronic was born in 2013, but it was in 2016, after moving to the Middle East, that her identity as an artist took on new dimensions. Now splitting her time between Dubai and Portugal, her sets are a masterclass in fluidity—seamlessly gliding across electronic, African, and Arabic rhythms with an effortless command of groove. Her production career took off in 2020, shaping a discography that continuously pushes boundaries and redefines soundscapes. From her breakout EP “Do I Belong to You” (Razor-N-Tape) to the hypnotic “Geographic,” her music has become anthemic across dance floors. With upcoming releases on Razor-N-Tape and Freerange Records, alongside a collaboration with Natasha Diggs, 2025 promises another year of sonic evolution.

Her performances have set the vibe at Paradise Sound System Float, Savaya Bali, and Soho Gardens Dubai, and this year, she makes her debut at Circoloco at DC10 in Ibiza—a defining moment in her journey. Championing Equality in Music Beyond her musical output, Megatronic is a fierce advocate for women in the industry. Since her time in the Middle East, she has fought for representation and equity in music spaces, ensuring that female artists and creatives have platforms to be seen, heard, and celebrated. In 2018, she co-founded Female First Sessions, an initiative that empowered and uplifted women in music, providing them with spaces to showcase their artistry. This movement later evolved into Femme Fest, an annual festival that celebrates and elevates women in music. With each passing year, Femme Fest has grown into a cultural beacon, creating space for new generations of women artists to flourish. Global Music Movement & Cultural Connection Megatronic’s love affair with the music and heritage of the Middle East extends beyond the dancefloor. Her monthly show on Worldwide FM, Global Music Movement, is a sonic deep-dive into the region’s past, present, and future, offering a fresh reimagining of SWANA musical heritage. At a time when music has become one of the most powerful forms of self-expression in the region, her work—whether through Femme Fest, radio, or her productions—helps build bridges between cultures, cities, and creative communities.
